Tsinghua Unigroup firmly believes that the protection of intellectual property rights is essential for innovation, progress, strengthening international cooperation and promoting healthy competition. It is also our corporate policy. Not only do we respect the intellectual property rights of others and establish corporate policies so that our employees do the same, but we also encourage our subsidiaries to actively safeguard their own research and achievements by employing patents, trade secrets, copyrights, and other forms of intellectual property protection.
Tsinghua Unigroup also encourages each subsidiary to invest in R&D, manpower, financial budgets and other resources, in order to establish a patent management and information security system that meets their business scale, strategic development plans, and the competitive landscape. Tsinghua Unigroup further encourages our subsidiaries to develop intellectual property portfolios that not only protect our R&D investment, but also ensure that while providing our customers products, technologies, and services, we also are delivering commensurate intellectual property protection.
Corporate Statement on Trade Compliance
Tsinghua Unigroup is committed to the highest standards of trade compliance and adherence to the laws and regulations of every market where we do business. We pay close attention to all regulations and policy updates in PRC and overseas that may have significant influence on our business and financial performance. The fields involved with such laws and policies may include export control, trade/economic sanctions, etc.
In addition to establishing a Trade Compliance Committee and a Trade Compliance Working Group, we also track changes to the relevant laws and regulations on a regular basis, and have taken a series of measures such as formulating corresponding policies, systems or compliance guidelines targeting at different fields, and supervising the implementation of these policies to promote continuous advancement of our trade compliance management system.
Trade compliance training, as a key component of Tsinghua Unigroup’s compliance program, is regularly provided to all employees to facilitate the learning of the basic principles of all applicable laws and regulations under the framework of trade compliance. As a result, our employees can make the right decisions in specific business practices, thus further strengthening our compliance commitment.
